Experienced organizer, guide, porters and camping team Went with my group of 13 friends. Amet was easy to deal thru whatsapp and during the actual 4d3n trekking, his team took very good care of us. They were punctual and patient, cooked enough food and drinks, supported us during the gruelling summit attack, allowed us to take our time for taking photos. My only wish is there were more chicken or meat for dinner 😂

Fantastic experience climbing with Amet Rinjani Trekking We had a fantastic trekking experience with Amet and his team. In particular our guide Adi was brilliant at keeping us energised and informed as we made our way up and down the crater. The porters were simply amazing at carrying up all our comfortable camping gear while also serving us delicious food throughout. Adi and team also managed to get us down the mountain ahead of schedule so we could make an appointment we couldn’t move. The crater is simply beautiful with views we will never forget, especially at sunset. The climb isn’t for the faint hearted but if you’re feeling up for it I would highly recommend doing it with Amet and his team.

Highly recommend Rinjani is a very special place and these guys make sure you get the most out of an already magical experience. The team of two porters and one guide that took us up had a combined 27 years experience on the mountain. They’re a tight knit team of people from the local village of senaru and they’re all super friendly and helpful. They seem to know everyone and are clearly well respected on the hill. I was a bit worried about booking with rinjani sky as there weren’t many reviews available. I’m so glad I did. This company do everything they can to ensure you have a great time. We’ve done a fair bit of hill walking in uk, all the big ones, three peaks, fell running etc. and make no mistake this is not an easy climb. The last few hours are HARD. But doable if you have decent fitness. The campsite is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever been. Unreal views. Some sections of the site are a bit messy with litter etc. but our porters got there early, bagged the best site and cooked us one of the best meals we had in Indonesia. The porter Dan is a top chef. Incredible. The job they do is properly impressive and it’s an honour to meet them and see them at work. Tough as. Our guide (Ram) is super well humoured and just good fun the spend time with but also very knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend this company, a much better experience than the other larger tour companies were delivering from what we saw.

Climbing or trekking to the peak is challenging. The trek begins in Sembalun and has an elevation gain of 2500 meters over 12 kilometers. The majority of the 1100 m elevation rise occurs during the 3 km summit day, which takes approximately 3 hours.

How long does it take to climb Mt. Rinjani?

Mt. Rinjani may be climbed in 2–4 days. A two-day excursion to the peak or the Senaru crater rim is sufficient, with an additional one or two days required to visit the lake after ascending the summit 3726m.
